Question 52. If, in the restructuring process, some laid-off Employees threaten to use violence (such as anonymous messages or letters) against the members of the management board who are engaged in the restructuring, what should the Employer does to protect the enterprise’s management board?

Answer:

In this case, the Employer may request the competent police department to protect those who are threatened. Specifically, those who are threatened should record audio/video or use other methods to support the collection of evidence related to the Employee’s threatening acts. On that basis, they can report it to the local police so that the police will perform necessary professional tasks to protect the concerned people.

The Employer may consider hiring security guards from security service companies to protect the members of the management board during the restructuring process and a reasonable period after the restructuring has ended.
